Banning All Foreign Interference and Influence: Michigan Sovereignty First

No foreign government, entity, or interest, whether from China, England, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran, or any other nation, has the right to interfere in Michigan’s elections, policy, education, or economy. Foreign influence operations undermine American sovereignty, distort democracy, and place external agendas above the interests of Michigan citizens.

The Michigan First Movement demands a comprehensive, nationality-neutral ban on foreign interference. All nations are held to the same standard. Michigan will protect its sovereignty without exception or favoritism.

Core Policy: Zero Tolerance for Foreign Interference

• Total Ban on Foreign Funding and Influence: Prohibit all foreign governments, state-owned entities, foreign nationals, or entities under substantial foreign control from:

  • Donating to Michigan political campaigns, ballot initiatives, or PACs.

  • Funding public universities, K-12 schools, think tanks, or nonprofits that influence state policy.

  • Purchasing farmland, critical infrastructure, ports, energy facilities, or media outlets in Michigan.

  • Lobbying Michigan officials through undisclosed foreign agents.

• Strict FARA Enforcement: Require full registration and disclosure under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) for any individual or organization acting on behalf of a foreign principal. Aggressive prosecution for violations, including those involving Israeli, Chinese, or other governments.

• Ban all foreign donations, direct or indirect (including through U.S.-based nonprofits or dark money groups with foreign ties), to candidates, parties, or ballot measures.

2. Education and Cultural Influence

5. Universal Application and Neutrality This policy applies equally to all foreign actors. There are no exceptions for allies or strategic partners. Whether the interference comes from Beijing, Jerusalem, Doha, Moscow, or Tehran, Michigan’s response is the same: American sovereignty above all.

• Legislation: Pass the Michigan Sovereignty and Foreign Influence Prohibition Act as a comprehensive, neutral bill.
